A Lot's Gonna Change

(This title is in reference to a song by Weyes Blood. I think I'm going to title all of my posts with song lyrics now:))

I cannot believe Winter Semester is almost over. I just submitted the huge research paper I've been working on for the past few months, so it's really hitting me that school is basically over. It feels so bittersweet.

In two weeks I'll hop on a plane for the UK and live there for the Summer. I am so excited to read Romantic poetry, hike, and explore. The other intern at the Wordsworth Trust is named Gabbie and we get along so well. I just know it's going to be an incredible experience.

While it's not like an 18-month mission like the other girls, this feels like such a huge step away from my life. Anna and Bethany will be leaving while I'm gone. My good friend Candice is graduating. And I'll have to leave my boyfriend and best friend, Max. We've become so close over the past few months that it'll be so hard to say goodbye. I have no doubt that we can handle it, but it will be really sad and I'll miss being with him.

But enough about all the changes that are coming. Here are some fun things I've done recently!

Moab

Max and I got a group together and camped out in Moab over Spring day. I've always wanted to go and it was BEAUTIFUL. I think there's no better way to get to know people than to hike with them and talk on the trail. I was so sunburnt, though.

Duly Noted

This year I've been really close with my acapella group. They're so funny and talented. I feel so blessed to have become friends with them.

Taylor Swift

My sister and I met in Las Vegas and got to witness the cultural phenomenon that is the Taylor Swift Eras tour. It was incredible. Don't ask me about Taylor and Joe's breakup, I'm still in denial.

Happy moments

I've been so happy this semester. I feel surrounded by amazing people. I love what I'm studying. Overall, so happy.
