Hello hello again!
There was a time when I wished I could skip ahead to my middle-age years where everything was settled. I imagined I was comfortably married, my kids were old enough that they didn't interrupt my sleep schedule, and I wouldn't have to worry about all the upheaval of young adulthood. And here I am (sorta) living that dream. Lol.
My day is very predictable. I wake up at 8:15 am every morning (I KNOW) to go to work at the deli and finish work at about 3:20 pm. I am the master sandwich maker. As you'd assume, I make sandwiches. Also, I help customers by slicing deli meat for them and serving them our different salads and specials for the day. I come home perfumed in the scent of ham au revoir. After that I crash for about 3 hours. (Which I'm working on trying to reduce). This is followed by either watching a Hallmark movie or playing a game with my family. Throw in a little bit of pickleball playing and you get the gist of my life right now.
Some people may read this blog post and see my life as lame. Which I get because re-reading this it does sound a little lame haha. But for the most part, I'm content. I am certainly a homebody and just love being home with my family. My coworkers are hilarious and I enjoy helping the community.
Although my life has been a bit slow recently, there have been a few things that have spiced it up. First of all was getting my wisdom teeth out. Yeah, that wasn't fun, but as far as I know I haven't experienced any complications. Also, I was a little loopy and it's funny to re-watch the video of me after I got them out.

On Sunday I said goodbye to Katie. She is currently at the Provo MTC and it is weirding me out. This lady has been a part of my life for 19 years, and we shared a dorm for 10 months. Knowing I won't see her every day, at Sunday gatherings, or even family reunions hurts my heart a little. I realized that we will be almost 21 by the time I see her again. AGGHHHH
On a sad note, an 8-year-old girl passed away while participating in Kaysville's annual Fourth of July parade. This has been such a devastation for our town. However, it's been amazing to see our community come together to support their family. I wish there was more I could do to help. It makes me appreciate the moments I share with my family and remind me not to take them for granted.
Life keeps keeping on in little Kaysville. During this short period of time that life is simple and not much is demanded of me, I want to keep improving, setting goals, and becoming the best version of myself.
I found this quote that I'll leave with because it kind of sums up my post and my feelings at the moment.
"Going back to a simple life is not a step backward" - Yvon Chouinard
'Til we meet again,
