The Three Longest Weeks of My Life Plus One Other Week

Not gonna lie, these last few weeks have been a little rough. There have been a LOT of transitions and as some of you know I am not the best at dealing with change. These changes include moving home, losing friends, a new kind of relationship with T, and, of course, preparing for my mission.
The Basics
I moved home to Virginia. While living in Utah, I forgot how green everything is here and during the spring it's always raining. I saw this rainbow outside my house after I picked my dad up from the airport on a random Thursday. Isn't it beautiful? I love my home. There were challenges that I had in adjusting back to living with my parents. I don't have nearly as much independence as I had in college and I'm responsible for more cleaning and cooking than I was in college also. It is nice to be around family though. There's something about being surrounded by people who have known you since you were little that makes you feel validated because they understand how you think.
Losing friends. By that I mean all of my college friends spread to the far corners of the earth and all of my friends from home were still at college so I was stuck at home with no one to talk to besides my family.
T and I broke up about a month ago and so on top of everything else we have been trying to figure out how to be friends. This is difficult because we don't get closure until I'm back from Italy and as of right now we both still have feelings for each other.
And mission preparation. I actually have to go get set apart in like five minutes so I'm trying to really quickly get this post done. If it's bad that's why.

Days in D.C.
So the big highlights of my month at home were the two days I went into D.C. The first day I went with my family to the D.C. temple. The second day I went to the word museum with Hilde. Both were lots of fun and free and I loved it.

Miscellaneous Items I can fit In to the Post Before I have to Run
I accidentally got bangs
My entire family but me had COVID for a week
I finished the DuoLingo Italian Course
I saw almost all my close friends in this last week
I painted an owl pottery mug
I spent the first three weeks at home doing almost nothing but reading and watching TV (shoutout to Eve for watching Bridgerton season 2 with me)
I took Italian Pre MTC courses that taught me that the gift of tongues is SO real.
I love you all
I love Italian
I'm super excited to go on a mission
My next post will be better because I will have a whole P day to think it out and someone else can just copy and paste it here.
Ok I have to go....hugs and kisses
See you on the flip side!
